Hi there has anyone had the folding mirrors fail to unfold when unlocking the car with comfort access ? It's hapened three or four times to me , seems ok if you use the plip locker fob to unlock he car as the mirrors unfold immediately but if I use my hand on the handle car unlocks ok but sometimes mirrors don't unfold ? Strange first world problem but annoying to me
What switch positions are available on your electric mirrors
Is there one with a door mirror picture and curved arrows, if so, probably needs to be in that position for auto folding
To auto unfold appears to depend on the setting in the menus, see pages 145
If you select the folding position on the mirror door switch they fold and stay folded. As I don't have the keep the keys in the microwave option I can only add that my mirrors fold when locking by holding the key button down a little longer and unfold straight away when unlocking with the door switch in any non folding position. This all seems correct to me.
Another handy feature is that holding down the open or close button will open or close the windows. Handy in hot weather when safely parked or when it looks like rain. Good to celebrate such things with all the doom and gloom at recalls , spec changes, long waits and so on.
Having had a Skoda that dropped all of its windows when parked on the drive, probably because I sat on the key, I had this feature disabled before I collected the car. But if you don't keep your keys in your pocket this can be a useful feature.
If you have KESSY keyless system you don't have to press the key fob to fold the mirrors.
Just leave your hand in place a little longer and the mirrors will fold. same principle as holding the key fob button.
