Re: MPG on Display

Trev3,
Have you accidentally reset the MFD to ‘from departure’ ? See page 37 of the on line manual.

Re: Folding door mirrors

My mirrors fold when the fob is pressed for a few seconds. My fold mirrors when parking option is ticked.
Suggest you select yours again and see what happens. The option of folding instantly on pressing the key, rather than on a long press might be an option set by the dealer using VAG.com.

Re: Arona FR Handbrake failure

alandl, I stop mine creaking by putting the handbrake on hard whilst pressing the foot brake. If I apply the handbrake lightly the rear brakes creak when I open the door or get out of the car particularly when parked on a slope. All my dealer did was to adjust it when I moaned about the handbrake fe...

Re: Key fob battery.

The battery in my fob (not keyless) is a CR2032, if my memory serves me correctly this was the same battery used in my keyless
start Fabia.

Re: Heated Rear Window Switch - Possible Issue

Just tried mine, it does the same.
Restarting the engine allows it to be switched off.

As I have lived for 14 months with this hidden “feature” I think I won’t worry too much!

Re: Clock Reset Itself to Zero

Seat customer services are not fit for purpose. On every occasion I have dealt with them I have resorted to emailing the Seat UK MD and getting assistance, and resolution, with the help of his executive office team. My best example of customer services usefulness was when they told me it wasn’t thei...

Re: Clock Reset Itself to Zero

My clock set itself to zero again overnight, so I talked to my dealer who said SEAT were aware and “working on a solution” he also said it happened on the Ibiza as well. He also said make sure the clock is set to manual and not GPS.

Re: Picking up new arona

Some dealers have a separate undercover handover bay, my Arona was in the general showroom, but locked and driven out by the salesman after he had linked my phone and explained/demonstrated how to tune the radio, operate the satnav etc. Other controls were ok as I was coming from a Skoda. Prior to t...

Re: Arona FR Handbrake failure

I am sorry you had a problem. My drive is about a 1 in 4 so I always leave the car nose down and in reverse. However I have found that when applying the handbrake it makes a big difference (2 or 3 clicks) if you are pressing the brake pedal or not. This usually manifests itself in creaking when leav...

Re: Audi Q2

Pjldecor, Ask your dealer to tax the car for a year and a week, that way you will preserve the 12 months tax. Mine was registered on the 28th of Jan 2018 and I picked it up on the 2nd of Feb. The tax lasted until the end of Jan 2019. I know it is annoying but remember wasting £12 in the purchase of ...
