Re: Hello all

whether it's rectified now I wouldn't know but still seen owners complaining about them last year a year on from 1st discovering the problem and also were mixed reviews on the software updates, best to steer clear of them! I bought an MY21 Ateca 1.5 with a DSG box to replace my 1.0 Arona. I have no...

Re: Facebook group

There is also a UK SEAT facebook that covers the Arona, Ateca, Tarraco and Cupra. Being more general it covers a lot of common topics across the SEAT range.

Re: New owner of seat arona excellence lux 1.6 diesel from tomorrow

Good advice and a useful reminder as I am soon to swap my Arona for a just built Ateca. I see several people advise changing to winter tyres but I think an extremely small portion of drivers feel the need to do this. I would guess at less than 1%. I have never done it in 50 years of driving (mostly ...

Re: New owner in Derby

I always use shortest time or economical. Shortest distance is almost guaranteed to take you down poor roads because of the crap road classification. Where I live a lot of the rural roads are single track, so if I choose shortest distance, it takes longer and frazzles the nerves.

Does coming off the motorway, and then immediately rejoining the motorway at the same junction, significantly reduce the journey ?
It does, in the virtual space of the computer, if the map data is poor. See my explanation above.

Re: New owner in Derby

Probably set to shortest journey... Unlikely, as all three types would choose a straight road over a diversion, it being shorter, quicker and more fuel efficient. I had this same problem with a TomTom sat nav so tried a Garmin one that overall was no better, just displayed different stupidity. The ...

Re: Does an Xcellence Lux have a handle above the door in the back seats to help a disabled passenger get in & out

Danny, for many years I drove manuals - only automatics in hired cars many, many years ago. I have ordered a DSG but I am afraid I have no experience with one. A search for DSG on this and the atecaforums will give you lots of opinions about DSG. My reason for choosing was convenience as I got fed u...

Re: Does an Xcellence Lux have a handle above the door in the back seats to help a disabled passenger get in & out

You might consider moving up to an Ateca. Although not disabled, at 68 and 66 my wife and I like it better for getting in and out of. Also it is a higher seat position and the doors open wider. It has grab handles all round. The general comfort is better. It didnt feel very much longer. We are tradi...

Re: New Arona FR Sport

lfcman, you asked how to get updates if there are no SD cards. SEAT Connect is one possible way, as you say for some cars. Perhaps someone with no SD Card slot and no SEAT Connect has to get the dealer to do it? I am intrigued to know myself out of curiosity.
