Re: I didn’t know the Arona did this (hints to others)

Also a question : Why are the public streetlighs off, on some roundabouts in Crawley... it's pitchdark overthere. Even with my LED headlights on I drive like a blind mole...getting passed on all sides It's a common thing in this part of the world - it saves the local authorities money by switching ...

Re: Cornering spotlights

Are the Leon LED headlights also self-levelling so there's no driver-adjustable thumbwheel? I guess they're self levelling as there is no range adjustment control inside the car on ours (2018 Leon FR). I haven't noticed the headlights doing the start-up 'dance' like the Ibiza Bi-Xenon units used to...

Re: Cornering spotlights

Thanks for the replies. Mine has LED headlights so thats why they don't work I wonder why they don't work with LED headlights? SWMBO's Leon has LED headlights and LED fogs and the cornering function works (and actually is quite good) She previously had a Mk5 Ibiza with Bi-Xenon headlights and halog...

Re: Seat Arona Xcellence Digital Instrument Cluster

No sure about the Arona unit specifically, but according to a thread on seatcupra.net, the Leon unit is about £600 in the UK and then there is a bit of coding required .

Re: Main dealer service charge

Heard back from Hartwell and they confirmed they don't have capacity to take the work on plus they don't think the sticking handle or rattling window would be covered under warranty on a 3 month old car. Really? Surely it's a manufacturing issue and should be covered but maybe my expectations of Se...

Re: Start stop and handbrake with DSG

There is an auto hold so don’t need to use handbrake and can take foot off footbrake (which of course stops brake lights dazzling person behind). Not sure about the Arona, but on SWMBO's Leon ST when using autohold, the brake lights surprisingly remain illuminated. Which prompted me to check my Mer...

Re: LED interior lights in the roof and boot

It's common with LEDs; they take a tiny amount of current to light them, therefore when you switch them off, residual current in the circuit will keep them alive for a while. If you've got a laptop with a plug in power supply with a LED on it, watch what happens with that when you disconnect it.
