Re: Hard Wiring Dashcam

Sorry stottycabanas. I have looked back and each photo is now replaced by a 'No Entry' sign on a blank page where the photo was. Maybe photos are removed after a certain time has elapsed..

Re: Loud clunking noise coming from boot area

Do you have a spare wheel fitted? If so, is the retaining nut/washer fully screwed down. The wheel could be moving very slightly. If you have no spare wheel then does the polystyrene insert move, if you have one?

Re: Closing Boot

I'm not sure how it works but if you open and close the tailgate immediately after driving, movement is relatively free. If you leave the tailgate open and go back to the car after 15 minutes or so, it is very stiff.

Re: MPG figures

My Xcellence Lux DSG petrol 1.0 has averaged over 48mpg over 16 months. I do maybe one long 100 mile + round trip per month, the rest being rural and a bit of town centre. Re: Folding door mirrors

A good point you make which I understand and agree with. Re: Folding door mirrors

As with other removed features, it's one less thing that could potentially be a warranty claim, should there be a fault with it.
If they can still sell all they make, then it make sense, to Seat, to minimise costs.
I wonder, what will disappear from the menus next?

Re: Biggest Arona Niggle

DynkH Why ever did you get an Arona? Surely, as these items, that have not been a significant problem to me, are obviously an issue to you, some checks would have been made prior to getting the Arona?
One or two of the items on your list are less than ideal but that's the same with most cars.

Re: Heated Windscreen Washer Jets

I think it must either be on all the time or is activated by a temperature relay as mine just works when I need it to without pressing anything extra.

Re: Side mirrors too small

All cars will be different. Different can be good.
I do have the blind spot warning lights, which work very well but as BigFatPaulie said 'you soon adapt'.
Change will happen, change has happened. Adapt or stay sad ;-)
