Re: Manual gearbox issues

Then again Microsoft is 'market leader' in PC OS - that doesn't mean their product is the best...
(How they got to that position is another story, not one of competitive product superiority, mind you).

Re: Manual gearbox issues

Seems to be increasingly the case that patchy manufacturing quality control assumes that the end-user will identify and rectify the problems that should have been identified and sorted at the factory. Re: 1.0 TSi DSG7 fuel consumption

I have found this too - driven very gently in no particular hurry I can get over 70mpg in my SE Tech 95 diesel. :D
Conversely if I drive aggressively and at high speed it will tumble to the high 40s :(

Re: Hi, New to Seat Forum or any car Forum.

My biggest lesson from this whole process has been how poor car salesmen have been. here I was looking to buy a new car (No finance) almost cash in hand, but hardly any follow ups or calls back. Don't blame the salesmen, blame the system. They make all of their money from the financing and selling ...

Re: My FR in black - finally here!!

yeah, looks tremendous and the bonus is that you don't see too many black Aronas on the road (don't see that many Aronas at all actually, which amazes me as I think it's a great car, but I suppose I am bound to biased). I have a black body with magnetic grey roof - from stock. It seemed to be quite...

Re: Brake Pedal 'play'

I've also noticed there's an annoying 'click' at the top of the brake pedal if you press it down gently. I'm sure I've never noticed anything like it on any other car I've driven. I've also got a rattle/crunchy noise from the passenger side that's developed, so perhaps I'll mention the brake pedal ...

Re: 12V in the boot

Maybe fit a fuse so you don't fry the electronics upstream.
I would suspect the internal 12v supply is not good for 8A.

With the windscreen wipers on, even intermittent, when you select reverse (e.g. to park), the rear wiper is also activated.
Neat.
