Re: Views on Stop/Start?

I usually turn it off, have found that SW London has too much creeping traffic approaching junctions, roundabouts, pedestrian crossings etc. It cuts off at walking pace, and then leaves you with no steering as you creep up whilst starting to turn at junctions rather than waiting until you stop. You...

Re: Views on Stop/Start?

I have to say I'm 70% converted to it. At first I was sceptical but it has proven to be pretty well behaved for the most part. Occasionally I have to restart manually if I try to pull away just as it has cut out and in heavy stop-start traffic it seems to spend more time stopping and starting than a...

Re: Electric 'Arona'

I expect SEAT will do something electric just to get the carbon credits that other manufacturers can claim*. Don't expect it to be as good as fossil fuel version anytime soon, lithium batteries are as good as they are going to get for now, even if you can charge at home or work, you will be scuppere...

Re: Front Assist error and burning smell

I would take it to the dealer if it persists.
Burning smells usually mean something bad, unless it was just heat from the engine.

Re: Airflow & fogging up

I have had similar issues. If you turn it on to demist, it uses aircon (cold) air to clear it, pretty quickly, but it mists up again as soon as you revert to cabin/foot air circulation. Otherwise, having the heater set around 50% will keep it clear without needing the demister, but not much use in w...

Re: Start frikkin stop....

IIRC the start/stop is supposed to detect when the car in front moves off and starts the engine. I haven't seen it on my one yet, so maybe only certain models. On the whole I find that start/stop doesn't get in the way too much except in queues of traffic that is slowly inching forward, then stoppin...

Re: Infotainment Radio button not lighting up

Cat66 that’s the same thing I have. Let us know what your dealer says as my dealer said it’s probably my phone causing the issue but I can’t see what my phone’s Bluetooth has to do with the car’s own satnav not starting. My mate plugged his iPhone into my car and his navigation app overrode the sat...

Re: Arona 1.6 Diesel 95hp Fuel efficiency!

"Will it get better over time" - emphatically. yes. It takes 1500-2000 miles for it to really develop true diesel torque. I keep my dash display set to instantaneous fuel consumption so I have quite a good handle on what improves mileage. MPG depends very much on how you drive it, heavy acceleration...
