Re: extremely sensitive throttle when moving off from standstill

Hello bodorgan. Is yours a 1.0litre engine? If it is then it's definitely not a normal characteristic of the drivetrain which is generally smooth and forgiving for normal driving styles. If it's a 1.5l engine then perhaps a different ballgame although most 1.5l owners on here report no problems with...

Re: Coronavirus travel restrictions servicing

If you have a Seat service plan it will be set up as either fixed 12 month service intervals for low mileage users or variable time interval but fixed mileage limit for high mileage users. Seat presumably believe that if you only do low mileage, (probably short journeys?), then the service interval ...

Re: Bargain roof bars. £21!

The memory of what I would see as a doddle when young is fast disappearing - just hoping my hair doesn't follow suit!

Re: Bargain roof bars. £21!

Looks good and great value for £21 but how on earth do you lift the bike up that high and reach the securing arm clamp? I can't comfortably even reach the centre of the roof to clean it without resorting to the use of a step stool.

Re: New Arrival Tomorrow

Will try and give it a bit of a blast up the mountain sometime but the Island is pretty much 'locked down' at present with the 'Virus' and at nearly 72 years of age I am not going to far at the moment Didn't realise you are 'locked down'. Will wish you well and hope you remain safe. The Island shou...

Re: Parking sensor's

Lampie, I'm impressed. You seem to discover the most obscure hidden controls that the average owner (like me) doesn't have a clue about. Thanks. I'll give it a try myself.

Arona vs Kamiq

Now that the Skoda Kamiq is available to configure on the Skoda website I was interested to do a cost comparison for a similar spec Kamiq to my Arona Xcellence. The spec is not easy to compare as the Arona comes with most of the goodies included in the basic price but when I added all the Arona's in...

Re: New Arrival Tomorrow

As you state MotorMan I have only seen one white one on the Island which, ironically, is owned by the mother-in-law of the salesman I dealt with....so mine should be exclusive for some time. That explains why I saw no Aronas on my last island visit. The mother-in-law of your salesman was obviously ...

Re: New Arrival Tomorrow

Hi Manxman,

I was over on 'The Island' last summer and never saw a single Arona in my 1 week stay which encompassed travel around most of the island. You should be very exclusive.

That's a good point - it's the same on the Leon, you have to have the passenger door open.
A safety feature so the passenger (or driver on LH drive version) can't accidently release the bonnet whilst the car is being driven? Makes sense.
