Re: 61k - Time for some new Disc Pads

Good to hear of your experiences given the relative high mileage you travel. It would take me at least 10years to cover that sort of distance. Brake pads renewal at 61k sounds very reasonable and tyres at 38k is just amazing. I just hope my ongoing experiences will be as positive as yours. I'm just ...

Re: Replacement headlight

Wise choice, Retail price of a single light unit from SEAT is £946.80 Wow :o . The LED headlights are really appreciated on the dark, unlit rural roads locally but I never imagined they came with such a price tag. I hit a deer last winter but luckily he bounced off the headlight without damage to t...

Re: Seat Arona boot sill protector?

Here a link to the genuine one https://www.seat.fish-bros-parts.co.uk/parts/arona/accessories-arona/seat-rear-bumper-protector/ The Seat genuine one is what I have direct experience of but it looks and feels identical to my previous RGM sill protectors. It maybe just a coincidence, but the Seat acc...

Re: Seat Arona boot sill protector?

I've used these in the past: https://rgmautomotive.co.uk/ . Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I had the genuine Seat accessory sill protector fitted as part of the original sale haggling deal and it looks and feels exactly like the RGM rearguards I've experienced in the past. A useful a...

Re: Creaking/Gurgling noise from passenger-side of engine compartment

I'd go with aircon too. Had a Peugeot 207 a few years ago which developed strange gurgling noises. Turned out to be hardened rubber seals in the aircon system apparently caused by underuse (it was my first aircon-fitted car and I only occasionally remembered to switch it on). Not sure about the crea...

Re: New Seat Arona 1.6TDI Xcellence Lux DSG

Hi DeltaBluesB3Player. From my experience the forum is a very valuable source of useful information supplied by folk who are only too keen to help fellow Arona owners with any questions. Hopefully you won't be 'playing the blues' as you get to know your new acquisition better.

Re: Arona excellence lux

Welcome to the Forum. Like you, last year I 'swallowed hard' and changed my Audi for the Arona. I'd had VWs prior to the Audi so am very used to the VAG family. I find the Arona gives a good and comfortable drive and is sufficiently powerful although not as flexible as the 1.4TSI engine in the Audi....

Re: Folding Door Mirrors

The double-click-to-fold mirrors seems to have been removed from cars manufactured around the middle of 2019. Even my dealer was surprised to find this change at the time. The mirrors currently always fold on single-click or not at all by key press depending on your menu setting. Personally I'd pref...

I just use a short usb lead... You need it for Android auto anyway - and it charges your phone way faster 😁
Good lateral thinking there. Looks like the charging bay is really just another gimmick. :)
