There's an FR Sport currently on autotrader with running boards fitted. Has anyone done this? What are your thoughts on whether it looks good or bad? I can't make my mind up

Also thought I'd see what colour coded bumper trim would look like... (excuse the poor workmanship !)

Similar to the Tiguan R Line look...?

The wife had them fitted to hers, we both like the look of them and you can actually step on them if your fitting bikes or anything else on the roof. She says it also helps keep some of the crap and tar spots from splattering up the doors.

I think they're growing on me and like you say, makes roof access so much easier. Did you get them as a genuine SEAT accessory or are they universal? How easy was fitting?

We got genuine Seat ones fitted for when she was picking the car up, can't tell you how much she paid as it was all wrapped up in the deal which was confusing as the dealers were purchasing the Ibiza back after damaging it during first service and Seat technical being unable to fix and ongoing issue. We wanted the brushed aluminium look as we felt the chrome ones would be subject to getting scuffed on entry and exit thus leading to bubbling and potentially rusting.

These look really nice, I think they set the car off and make it look wider.

@scotti290586, do the running boards stick out further than the wheels? Can't clearly tell from the photos.
Looks great and makes the car look rugged!

Yes they stick out further than the wheels. We had them fitted as they give the vehicle a more rugged look and help it stand out from similar vehicles in the SUV sector.

Thought I would try and post some pics of the wife's sidesteps, bloody sun made it hard work and couldn't see what I was taking.

Hi All
I really like the look of these one thing that appeals to me is they should stop the sides and doors getting damaged in super market car parks by prams trolley and other cars
So if anybody has gone down the self fit route keep us all posted on the fitting

I enquired about these as I'm considering them but wanted to know how easy fitting is. Here's the instructions:

(Apologies as it's just print screened off my iPhone...)
