Hi there ordered a top of the range xcellence lux 1.0 DST petrol, assuming it would come with all the bells and whistles.
To my extreme disappointment, while reading through the spec, I discovered it does not have heated seats, emergency city braking, or an upgraded stereo 😥
Can these be fitted as extras, or shall I cancel the order, and order a Ateca.
I feel a bit deflated thinking I was getting a top spec car, but saddened, without a couple of essential items.

Ordered an Xcellence lux DSG myself. Beats speaker upgrade and heated seats were only available as standard on the Xcellence lux first edition, was going to order one but couldn't live with the shocking looking alloy wheels it came with. Done lots of research on the beats audio system and came to the conclusion it's not available as a dealer fit or aftermarket. So will be upgrading the speaker system myself. Got them on order already.

Ian.s: You will probably end up with a better sounding system than the Beats Audio, I don't think beats is worth the extra money.
Id rather spend it on Sound Deadening and upgraded speakers and amplifier, as all of these VW systems normally have pre-outs.
I Think the Beats is a software package to the existing system to change the way the EQ is setup and change of speakers.
So a decent Alpine or Pioneer Amp with some upgrade speakers will transform it.
Best to speak to a Car Audio specialist to see what are the best improvements.
Suggest maybe some separate tweeters, mid and Bass with crossover circuit, so the right frequencies are driven to the correct speaker types.
This will give a better clarity as you can then adjust the levels to your preference.
Sound Deadening will improve acoustics by reducing external noise and vibrations, make the cabin and nicer quieter environment as well.
Even just a few decibels reduction is noticed due to the non linear way DB is calculated.
and will allow the speakers to be able to perform better.
My project will be first sound deadening. which will cost about 600-1000£ to have done properly, then the Speaker upgrade.
So plan to keep the car for a few years Just get to save harder now :lol:

Thanks for the info Gaza's, I was an auto electrician for many years also installed high end ICE and alarms. Will be installing a Cerwin-vega as I still get a cheeky discounts! 👌
