My 'skiddy' car symbol came on briefly today with a warning beep! It was coloured white with the skid symbol above, below and on each side of the wee car; it was situated on the centre instrument panel display. It just flashed up for a second.
I have to say the road was dry and I was maybe doing 45mph max.
Admittedly it was a narrow coastal road alongside the shore and probably not the best surface.
No abnormal feeling at the wheel.
There seems to be no mentions in manual of this symbol or beep that I encountered.
Anyone else out there trigger this one?

That's unusual for the light to come on it means as a rule you're losing traction.

It didn't by any chance come on as you changed up to the 3rd gear as the Rev Counter bounced off the red line ?

Only joking, I would monitor it. It could be a temp fault in the ABS see handbook

The control lamp  has the following functions:
● It flashes whilst driving when the ASR/ESC
is activated.
● It will light up if there is a fault in the ESC.
● As the ESC operates in conjunction with the
ABS, the ESC light will also come on if a fault
should occur in the ABS

Well I had been watching TT highlights and got carried away...naw, but thanks I will mention to dealer soon.
Mystery, as it was not yellow warning lamp in tacho but a large white symbol in centre
panel! Monitoring
