Sad to see the Yeti Greenline going, it was a good car, but was going to require a major service, Cambelt kit and 4 tyres during the year, so I quit before this suspected £1200 possible expenditure...

So, new Arona arrives next week, no stock apart from Lux and FR models, so went for the slightly softer riding better kitted Lux in Grey with Orange roof!

Looking forward to getting out of Diesel and back into a bit more fun with the little Turbo motor (My previous previous Mii by Mango had the na version but only 75hp and was good) just hope it will nudge 50mpg with a little restraint as the Skoda has.

See you all on the main forum..... :D

Good choice of colour !

I too came from a Yeti, didn't really need the size.

Might get 50mpg once it has run in, (will be worse for first 2k Miles), I have seen indicated average 52mpg as my best after a journey. But living on fringe of London 42-45mpg is more typical

Very comfortable car, took it to Paris last week

Thanks for that!

My previous Mii averaged 50mpg, same as the Yeti. The Arona will do well to match them due to the power and size increases, but anything close is fine! Test drove an FR, which was OKish for comfort, suspect the X will be a little softer...

That would be fine!

I managed figures in the 60's for several cars over the years on long journeys (Octavia 1.9Pdi, Mercedes A150d, Mii by Mango, Yeti 1.6TDi, Fabia VRs etc) but drive at variable speeds depending on my mood and traffic cameras, and usually manage 50 average.

The Mazda 3 2.0i Sport was the exception, very thirsty indeed with 40 being a real challenge, and 33 being normal if not being too hard on it. I'm not actually an economy freak, it just relieves the tedium of driving sometimes :-D

So far, so good.

Yeti 1.6TDi Elegance now a memory, albeit a good one. Arona proving very hushed, especially at low speeds where it's almost as quiet as an Electric car! Ride actually better than the Yeti and handling far more modern but front doesn't like speedhumps, as it crashes on the way off.

Economy 43mpg on first tankful, well 230 miles, so not unhappy, as mainly short runs. Suspect near to 50 in normal use.

Lovely otherwise, getting used to smaller digital dash compared to large, ultra-clear simple Skoda unit.

DAB radio utterly fantastic....never go back now.....

Hi, newbie here.

Got my xcellence lux on order, via motability.

Currently got Skoda Octavia SEL 1.4 TSI DSG until end of May (if deliveries are on time)

Previously had Seat Leon 1.6 TDI SE DSG.

Arona spec is xcellence lux 1ltr TSI 113 PS - DSG. Mystery Blue with midnight Black roof et. al.

I am like a young child awaiting Christmas - end of May seems a long way off.

Look forward to interacting with this group. 👍
