Do you mean blind spot monitor?

As the Arona does not have collision avoidance

It has Multi collision avoidance, which is different. this only kicks in if you have had a collision and brings the car to a stop safely without it veering off wildly out of control.

The Blind spot monitor won't stop you having a collision, but will warn you if you are indicating to move lanes if a car is in the blind spot area by flashing a symbol in the mirror, allowing you to take appropriate action to avoid hitting that car.

My previous Tiguan had this fitted. If you indicated to change lane and there was a vehicle in your blind spot the light in the mirror housing would flash faster and there would be resistance to the steering wheel so made it harder to turn to move lanes. I don't know if the arona has an effect on steering or not.
