Unbelievable that there's no rear interior light, especially with a black interior roof.

I know this has been talked about before and someone suggested buying some small LED lights. I bought a pair but they were very poor quality but no surprise as they were very cheap.

I'm hoping someone has come up with a proper solution.

Its made worse on the FR and Excellence by the black roof and only two lights in the front
I tried the LED stick but not very good

Someone puts footwell lighting under the front seats; it helps carring some ambient light on rear seats.
They connect the new light to the front one, using original supports and lights.

I bought the Chinese LED lights, illuminated well but just would not stick with supplied adhesive pads and I didn't want to ruin the interior with heavy glue.

I've been to my local independent Auto Electrician and had tiny LED spotlights fitted into the C-pillar. The wiring came up from the floor as he didn't want to damage the roof lining or get to close to curtain airbags. They work with the existing lights so come on when you open the doors. Labour and materials £110. Excellent job. Can't see why Seat didn't do it during production.

That looks like a very neat solution and at a sensible price. I think you must have been lucky to find a professional to do the job at that price. I could be very tempted if I could find similar.

That looks quite neat. Only just got our arona so not seen a winter with it yet but noticed the lack of lights in the rear.
I am an autolec by trade so would be doing the job myself and could easily write up the instructions when doing.
Can you take a photo without the lights on to see the size of led lights fitted.

I'm green with envy. My only 2 'gripes' with the Arona are the lack of grab handles and rear seat lighting and you've ticked one of those off in style. If only Seat dealers would do a similar modification I'd happily pay significantly more than you were charged. Do you happen to know which fuse number the new lights were connected to?

If you could write up instructions while doing the job for yourself that would be just great. Any photos would certainly help especially how you manage to run the wiring to the C-pillar and connect to the correct lighting circuit. I'd certainly have a go at following your lead but don't feel confident without a guiding hand.

I have three gripes. No interior lights , the lack of grab handles and there is no fecking coat hook! They give us crap like footwell lights but something like a coat hook they leave out! The rear grab handles on my Skoda Yeti were ideal for putting clothes hangers on as I travel a lot and need a lot of clean shirts. Now I have to put them on the rear seat and invariably, they end up on the floor.
