I have a 2019 Arona FR 1.0 and I'm getting a knocking noise from the nearside when driving over rough patches in the road. I got a local mechanic to replace the front discs and pads recently and the noise only seems to have started since then. It could just be coincidence of course but I mentioned this to him and he checked things over but could not find anything wrong. The noise seems to come from underneath the passenger footwell area so I can't imagine what component would cause a noise in that area. Short of taking it to a dealership to check over is there anyone who has experienced something similar?

Has he missed any brake pad retaining clips? Pads can rattle quite badly
It's really not that kind of noise. It's not a rattle - more of a deep clunk. Its the sort of noise you'd get from a worn steering or suspension bush but the car has only done 10k miles so surely can't be that already.
