Anyone else noticed the map updating itself ?

In what way? There is no physical or wireless connection of the vehicle to interent. It can only be updated by changing the sd card.

Yeah I know , but it displayed updating map please wait , figured it was downloading from gps sat ? Maybe some boffin on here can enlighten me 😃

I'll double check but if I remember correctly the sat Nav remembers your most common routes and then plans the best route if you need it to get to somewhere you go regularly. It may well be this but as I say I'll double check.
