Seat sales in UK Jan-May 29,400 (+19.5% on previous year)

New strategy being presented in Berlin 12-14 June

https://www.seat-mediacenter.com/newspage/allnews/company/2018/SEAT-closes-the-best-month-of-May-in-its-history.html

All very impressive, but sales would have been better, if didn't keep those with Arona orders waiting for upto 7 months. Nothing on how to clear backlog. But if 2400 dealers are going (must be all of Europe) maybe some dealers might actually ask questions so could communicate real answers to customers on waiting lists

Anyone asked their dealer if they are attending, and if so, will they ask about delays

It's all right selling them? It's supplying them that they have a BIG problem with?

Looks like SEAT have sold 35,900 cars in UK in first half 2018 (+21.7% compared to 1H17)

UK is third biggest market (after Spain and Germany).

Appears sales are based on deliveries, not orders, (using the UK link as it refers to registrations), and clearly many orders from months ago (including mine) still not delivered, so although they are congratulating themselves, they really need to work out how to actually build their orders quicker.

Further down the article it refers to new Arona model later this year, the Arona TGI with a compressed natural gas engine

The UK press release says 6516 SEAT registrations in June,
and there are now 5700 Arona purchases in UK in 2018 (so why do you never see one on the road ?)

The latest Seat UK press release suggests 1500 Arona have been sold in January 2019
Arona is described as star performer of the 5500 Seat cars sold in UK

Probably would have been up there many months last year, had the Martorel factory got its act together and actually built cars without 6+ month delays

Might not be such a rare sight on the roads going forward
