Faults and Technical chat for the Seat Arona

I picked my Dec 2017 Arona FR Automatic Up this Tuesday. I have found a few answers through this forum but one in-car message has me confused. When I switch off engine and remove key from ignition I get a locked lock symbol and the message “Check SAFELOCK Owners manual”. What does this mean and should I be concerned? Thanks

Safelock is a mechanism to make the car harder to break into once it's locked. It disables the interior door opening levers. Basically the 'CHECK SAFELOCK' message is simply a message to remind you to lock the car properly on exit.
It is there to tell you that if you lock the doors with the remote and there are children in the car, they cannot open the doors to get out. nor can the emergency services. It is up to you whether you think this a good or bad thing.
