Engine cutting out 1.6TDI DSG

Any news on your car? Was it the same issue? Hoping whatever it was its sorted. Very unnerving driving and the car cutting out at junctions etc.

They replaced the ecu interface yesterday, they described it as the control unit. Was running fine until about an hour ago where it cut out once again, looking at rejecting the car now as it’s been in twice with no actual repair, shame as I love the car apart from the fault

I'm sorry yours is not fixed. I still feel nervous driving mine, particularly coming up to a junction or turning. But it's not cut out once since the software updates. My daughter knows someone with the same model who is having the exactly the same issues. I will ask her what happened with that car.

Do you know what they updated with yours? As my dealership have admitted they have no idea what is wrong with my car

I'm sorry I don't. I was just told it needed and had 2 software updates. If it's any help maybe your garage could phone my garage? It's croyde motors in north devon.

Had mine since September and the engine cuts out and is happening more frequently. It is very frightening not to mention dangerous and I am frightened to go out in it. Did put it into the garage a few weeks ago and they said they couldn't find anything wrong, just advised to turn the start stop function off. This is a motobility car and I live way out in the country but garage can't look at it until 3rd April!

Sorry to hear that, mine turned out to be fuel pressure related but it still isn’t fixed, they’re still testing to find out exactly where the fault is

Interesting to note i am having same issue with skoda karoq 1.6 diesel dsg.
Any solutions that have lasted test of time?

MAP sensor for me, but they wouldn’t fix it until it cut out on them
