4 faults all at once when driving in heavy rain.

Post by Jenko » Tue Oct 06, 2020 8:53 am

Hi
I was driving in heavy rain yesterday and a load of faults popped up pretty much at once, apart from parking assist which only came on when in reverse. I tried it again few hours later and was still showing all 4 faults.
Anyone had similar or have any advice.
Cheers Neil

As I have mentioned before, call out Seat road side assist and get them to plug their computer into the OBD and see what faults come up.As soon as I picked up my Arona I had to drive back down the M62 in torrential rain, glad to say with no problems like your having.

Cancelled Thursday collection by seat dealer in liverpool as had no confidence in there abilities to return it same day fixed or not.
Used Seat driver assistance on Wednesday instead, AA was out in 30 minutes, diagnosed an unknown software error. Disconnected the battery for a few seconds, everything worked again for a few minutes, then same faults reappeared.
So left car with me overnight, organised a curtesy car through enterprise. AA collected the car Thursday morning and drove it the local liverpool dealer. Enterprise had me in a Škoda Superb before the morning was out.
Heard nothing whatsoever from Seat dealer since, luckily the Škoda is a much better car so not bothered.
So well done the AA and Enterprise. Seat you can do one for your rubbish customer service and BS you have so far tried to feed me.
Will update when Seat actually do something or take the trouble to contact me.

Seat just got back to me, apparently the abs module needs replacing and is on order tomorrow for replacement. Not confident this will fix It, but will have to wait and see.

Got another call from Seat liverpool, apologies, the part is on back order, so now be 1-2 weeks before it’s potentially fixed.

1-2 weeks, that’s not good at all, will the Arona be off the road all that time then?.
