Started the car up this morning and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree-power steering, ASC,Forward Assist,PDC amongst others.Switched ignition off and on everything back to normal.At about 11-50 the car alarm went off for no reason and continued to do so every 20 -40 minutes.Called out the AA who shrugged his shoulders and said possibly a faulty battery.Got him to connect the ECU up to his laptop via Bluetooth and the only fault that came up was a steering wheel angle sensor.Took the car to the local dealer and left it with them as I did not fancy the alarm going off all night.Even as I was booking the car in the alarm went off and that was after a 20 min drive down ,so the battery should have had a decent charge up.The car is doing aprox, 20 miles a week, would of thought that was enough to keep the battery topped up.Dealer said they would do a battery test first of all.Wait and see.

Just rang the dealer for an update,nothing to report as yet but the technician has been working on the vehicle “for some time”.Doesn’t sound good.

Oh dear,
Sounds like an electrical glitch! Maybe a bad earth or a canbus problem....

Just had an update,battery is OK,wiring is OK so a new alarm module and siren have been ordered and hopefully will be fitted tomorrow.

That wouldn't cause dash faults... They don't know what they are doing !
Doesn't inspire much confidence does it
