How to upgrade instrument cluster to Digital Virtual Cockpit?

Post by iMAQpro » Thu Sep 19, 2019 4:02 pm

Hallo all,

I am based in London and have bought a SEAT ARONA XCELLENCE Lux 1.0 TSI DSG-auto 115PS, late 2017 model.

This model came before the digital virtual cockpit was made available for Arona.

I would like to buy and install the digital cockpit.

Do you know if this is possible? and how to do it?

Best regards

MAQ

Whilst I agree the digital cockpit is excellent, I suspect upgrading would be expensive and risky. I suspect no SEAT dealer would undertake it. I also suspect an auto electrician would have problems updating the firmware amongst other things. If you found one I would be surprised if you had any change from £1000 to £2000 for parts and labour and risk having a non working, or partially non working car. Also SEAT would walk away from any electrical warranty, or possibly any warranty.

If you are really set on the digital cockpit, in my opinion you probably would be better off changing your car for a later model with one factory fitted.

Sorry to not be encouraging and I could be wrong!

you order the virtual cockpit from the dealer.now or the dealer fix it or some store near you.here in greece the cockpit cost 700 euro and installation 250.
