New Arona FR Sport
New Arona FR Sport
Picked it up today, not really had a play yet , but where’s the SD slots? And do you have to fold mirrors in inside the car and not by holding your finger on the lock button outside the car
Re: New Arona FR Sport
SD slots are in the glovebox at the top and mirrors folding on locking is in the vehicle menu.

Just start with the car, and keep reading this forum
and if you've got any questions, ask them a month later
You will see, you'll have almost no questions left.

Thank you for that, with the SD cards, in my old car which was an FR, there were 2 SD slots and a CD player, on this one there is just a plastic cover type thing but no sign of SD or CD? does that move somehow?
Re: New Arona FR Sport
It would seem that the SD slots are no longer installed on this version, The 2 USB ports are also Type C, the dealership gave me a converter for them. Problem is adding station Logos on to the radio. I've tried but despite having a USB plugged in it can't see them and not having the ability for SD anymore it makes that a bit tricky
Re: New Arona FR Sport
It is my understanding that the recently facelifted Ateca no longer has SD slots, backward step IMO,satnav updates will probably have to be downloaded directly to the head unit using wi fi, I have a SD card full of my favourite music tracks tucked away in the glovebox, much better than using a USB converter which is being rolled out across VW group models

Re: New Arona FR Sport
Yes Seat gave me a converter and like you I had all my music on an SD card
I've bought me a type c flash drive to put the music on. The positive on this is that carplay is wireless so no cables. Just trying to figure out how to connect. I think I have but I'm not sure if I should be seeing all my phone icons like you do with a USB connection, if you do, I haven't done it right yet

Re: New Arona FR Sport
Further update, all music is now on the Type C USB, but honestly, preferred it tucked away in the glove box. Problem now is adding station logos as not all stations in the UK pick up the logo so before I had most downloaded to an SD card, I've transferred these to a USB and although there is still the option to add logos, the USB is not identified for that function. If anyone has cracked this I would be grateful to know how, cheers
Re: New Arona FR Sport
Had a look at manual seems like there is option with internet radio to do this. Special function.
Hoping it works getting my new Arona to replace Ibiza and want to do the same.
Plus you need your seat connect account and Wi-Fi I think.
