Asking for pin?

Hi, we set up Seat Connect in my wifes new car yesterday.
She is set as the main user.

She says when she set off for work this morning, the headunit asked for a pin code.
We set the code last night, so no issues, but is it going to ask for a code everytime? If so, how do we turn that off?

Also, I hear mention of internet radio, apple music etc.....do we need to buy a data package for this? Its really not very clear.

My phone found a wifi network that linked to the car, but not sure what thats all about?

Theres a real lack of info on what to expect with the Seat Connect / head unit/ connectivity.

Any advice appreciated.

Update...
I went out to check and noticed a little “save s-pin” tick box....ticked it....hopefully that means she wont have to do it again!

You’re right. She won’t have to input pin again now she has ticked that box . The only thing is that anyone will be able to use it now but I have ticked mine and its only my wife that drives it very occasionally. I agree though having to input the pin every time you get in it to drive is a pain in the rear

You can connect the car to Wi-Fi or to hot-spot on your phone. But car doesn't send Wi-Fi network just from the built in e sim

Not sure - my phone isnt set up as a hotspot, but on the drive home from collection, pulled over in motorway services and noticed that my phone had connected to a Seat network, although it didn’t seem to do anything, it’s kinda confusing....

No, definitely had the WiFi signal and that’s what made me go to the networks page on my iPhone....that was where I saw the Seat network....

I will have another look once I get time...

Excuse my ignorance as this is the first seat I have had. What exactly is seat connect and what are the benefits of having it? Is it easy to set up I'm not too bad with phones but some of the stuff in my car is driving me mad.
