Playing mp3 files.

Post by number6 » Sun May 30, 2021 11:35 am

I picked up my new Arona Xcellence Lux a few days ago to replace a similar model.
The older 18 reg had USB A sockets for audio. The new 21 reg (not face-lifted) one has USB C sockets but one C to A adaptor is supplied.
Using this adaptor I insert my USB memory stick but it does not read all the files.
I have some 1 hour radio shows on the external device. Yesterday I could only read and play 2 of 4 files.
Today I tried another batch of 3 files. It would only read 1.
I tried to > to the next file but it just goes to the start of the file(s) that it is currently reading.
Any ideas please?

Any ideas, please, as I can't play my mp3 files. I tried reducing the bitrate of the files to 96 kb/s but still no luck.

I do use bluetooth and it works well but my phone memory is not huge and I have been using 16 & 32gb memory sticks with loads of stuff on.
All worked fine on my previous 18 plate Arona Xcellence Lux.
Something is obviously different with the later software (or is the USB C to A Seat supplied adaptor?)
As a few files play but not most others, It seems that there is some sort of limitation, be it file size, bit rate, etc.
If I can just find out the relevant criteria, I can ensure that my files are ok. Seat Customer Service and the dealer have both just shrugged their shoulders and both said "Well, it should work". Thanks for that!
