Road fund license rebate

Post by Bonzo » Wed Apr 24, 2019 12:28 pm

Does anyone know if DVLA take an administration cost out when calculating the road fund license rebate upon selling on your old vehicle?
My last car was £120 for a year and I sold the vehicle on after only using it for 18 days of renewing.
So I have 11 months rebate to come back, in my case it was simple, £10 per month, so should I get back £110 or as mentioned do they take a portion for admin costs?

Should get complete months with no fee deducted

However you lose the remainder of the current month from the date refund is processed. So if near end of month, then claim online to ensure processed before end of month, because if you post it, and they don't action it until start of following month, they keep extra months fee.
