folding mirrors from remote key.

Post by gm80 » Sun Apr 25, 2021 8:39 am

guys, I have my21 (Dec 20) fr version, I've just checked all possible variants in settings but I'm missing.one option to fold the mirrors with long press or twice press of the remote key. now.i have all or nothing... I don't want to hide mirrors every lock. is there any option to activate additional settings for that?

I think it is "all or nothing" in terms of the settings, but if you leave it so the mirrors don't fold on locking, you can fold them yourself on the internal switch.

grahamn is correct. It's all or nothing. The fold-on-long-press of key function was removed back in mid 2019. I recall my supplying dealer spent ages trying, unsuccessfully, to re-activate it. Presumably Seat's cunning ploy to ensure the mirror motors wear out prematurely.

Hi all, new member so just putting my 2 pence in here.

I've got an Arona FR Sport, great car and a very agile and fun car to theow.i to the corners. :) Although the dealer I got it from was useless when I realised one of the indicators wasn't working!

More to the subject at heart, I've just bought a Carista OBD adaptor and I did catch one of the options showing in Carista is to change the mirrors folding on normal lock or by holding the key and I think the option to add this option to the infotainment system.

I've changed it to being closed, along with an alarm churp on lock and along with a couple of other options changed I think for £25 it's been one of the best things I've ever bought. For a £25 punt, might be worth you looking into to see if the options your after are covered. Have a look online for Carista.

Your experience is very interesting to me as I would much prefer mirror fold on long press of key. Can I just check that your Arona is not pre-May 2019 build which is when I believe Seat removed this function, why I never understood? Mine was built in June 2019 and was the first Arona my dealer had seen without this function. If your Arona is afterMay 2019, like mine, then I'm prepared to invest £25 to give it a go.
