mirror warnings stopped working?

Post by adwb » Tue Jan 14, 2020 4:05 pm

Hi i wonder if any one can help? My 18 reg Arona has decided for some reason not to show the little yellow cars when i am being passed and the side option in the vehicle assist menu shows not available if i try to select it?

it has worked fine up till now unlike the stop start the regularly does not work reporting it cant work due to high power consumption even in the middle of the day with lights, heater fan and light and so on all turned off.o all turned off. GRRRR

That happened to me too. The sensor module had to be replaced under warranty.

BTW that answer was for the blind spot warning feature.

I believe that the same module controls both the Blind Spot Indicator in the mirror and the CTA (Cross Traffic Alert) with the sensors in the side of the rear bumper.

I found this out when the towbar was fitted and the engineer told me. Also when connecting a trailer, both these systems are automatically disabled.
Arona 1.0 DSG Xcellence Lux in Desire Red with dealer fit spare wheel, mud flaps and Witter detachable tow bar. Black textured bumper protector.
