Wheel nut covers

Post by Neil C » Sat Apr 07, 2018 8:36 am

Has anybody else lost any of their plastic wheel nut covers? I have lost two now off the locking wheel nuts! After loosing the first I ensured they were all fitted correctly and also checked them after car washing. I have purchased replacements off e bay which appeared to be a slightly better fit. Just wondered if anyone has had it happen to them.

Hi Neil
Yes, I’ve had the same problem only yesterday!
Using a jet washer two came off, both from the locking nut!
Seems a very loose fit compared to the ordinary nuts
May try a bit of blue tack or similar

Hi Pops
Yes I was considering doing that, but the replacements I got are a tighter fit. So if any more go missing the blue tack will be used!

Hi Uncletone
I have had this problem. (Look at other Wheel nut cover forums) I bought on eBay for
£1.04 including delivery. Great firm fit! Just make sure the set includes the four larger fits for the locking nuts.

I've got this issue too. 2 covers missing and both from the locking nuts. Seems to me there may be a bit of a design flaw.
