Heated Rear Window Switch - Possible Issue

Post by BenC » Sat Apr 06, 2019 11:13 am

Could someone test this for me on their car please. I'm not sure if it's a fault or not...

Step 1: Start the engine
Step 2: Turn on the heated rear window
Step 3: Stop the engine
Step 4: Turn ignition on (ignition only, no engine)

Does the heated rear window switch light come on but get stuck (won't turn off) for you?

I'm aware that the heated rear window will only work with the engine on, so there is no reason for the switch light to come back on.

If someone could help. Thanks!

Just tried mine, it does the same.
Restarting the engine allows it to be switched off.

As I have lived for 14 months with this hidden “feature” I think I won’t worry too much!

Thank you.

As long as it isn’t specific to my car then I’m happy. :)
