Biggest Arona Niggle
Re: Biggest Arona Niggle
re paulhic. If you have the top spec Excellence lux like me their is no grab handles above the doors because it has cushion airbags in that top section between the door and the roof lining where the grab handles would be.
Re: Biggest Arona Niggle
Better with air bags then. You learn a little every day. I wasn't aware of that Steve, thank you.
Re: Biggest Arona Niggle
My previous Audi had grab handles and side airbags so it must be possible to accommodate both. Just like the lack of rear seat lights and illuminated vanity mirror, etc. it's probably more about cost saving. We pays our money and takes our choice!

Re: Biggest Arona Niggle
My biggest niggle is that I always seem to feel a breeze on my right knee when I'm driving. Even when I only have the upper vents on and point them away from me. Drives me mad sometimes (I have the manual aircon).

Re: Biggest Arona Niggle
Do the vents produce a decent flow ? could be a duct has come adrift around the steering column...

Re: Biggest Arona Niggle
I can't say I have noticed a problem with the airflow from the vents. Thanks for the tip though. I'll have a look at the steering column.BigFatPaulie wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 1:15 amDo the vents produce a decent flow ? could be a duct has come adrift around the steering column...
Re: Biggest Arona Niggle
I have two:
1) Seat’s inability to rectify my inoperative Front Assist System - an ongoing problem for 18 months + They have now walked away from the problem and offer no solution.
2) The interior specification of my Xcellence Lux:
* No coat Hanger
* No rear passenger courtesy lights
* No rear passenger controllable heating or climate control or ventilation
* Front Arm Rest is only a hinged box lid with no verticle adjustment.
* Courtesy mirrors with no lighting and very poor spec.
* No grab handles - an essential for a vehicle of this nature.
These are essential items on a vehicle described as an: XCellence Lux (Lux means Luxury I assume.)

Re: Biggest Arona Niggle
I have a couple of minor niggles.
1) No keyless entry sensor on the front passenger door.
2) It would have been nice if the reverse cam was covered and just popped out when needed to stop it getting dirty.
3) Would have been nice if you could change the footwell lighting to red.
4) Sat Nav sometimes counts a dual carriageway as two exits at a roundabout sometimes so it will tell you to take for example the third exit rather than the second.
5) The most annoying one is the car not remembering what drive mode you had it in last correctly. For example if I drive the car in eco mode and then turn the car off even for a second it defaults back to normal. What's really strange though is the infotainment display will still say it is in eco mode when I know for a fact that that is not the case. For a start the digital display will say D rather than E beside the gear number and if I lift off the accelerator I will feel the car slow down like a normal automatic rather than the coasting function kick in and the display putting a little eco icon at the top. The last give away is the revs don't drop down to idle like they should do when the coasting function is active.
The only solution I have found is to press the drive mode select button, then select another drive mode then select eco again which gets a little frustrating. I would love to know if anyone else has noticed this problem if they have a DSG.
Apart from that I really love the car and I'm glad I chose it, it's miles better than my old Vauxhall Mokka!

Agree with the eco setting, I have started to use this all the time now as it suits my driving style, as you say, every time I start up I have to re select eco.
